Awaken:
A Prelude to Summer

Awaken is a weekend retreat for those ready to re-engage their energy, reconnect with what matters, and step into summer feeling more alive, embodied, and present.

Held in a natural setting, the retreat weaves mindful movement, time outdoors, playful and expressive experiences, and space for reflection and connection. The weekend unfolds at a steady, intentional pace, with room for both participation and rest, supporting a natural transition from spring into summer.

Location: Black Oak Lodge
Mt. Morris Camp and Retreat Center
Mt. Morris, Wisconsin, USA

Black Oak Lodge serves as our home base for the weekend, offering overnight accommodations and welcoming spaces to rest, gather, and spend time together. Retreat experiences take place throughout the surrounding grounds, allowing for both indoor comfort and time immersed in nature.

Retreat Experiences Include

  • Energizing, accessible yoga and mindful movement

  • Guided group reflection centered on seasonal renewal and intention

  • Intentional connection experiences that support presence and ease

  • Kayaking for embodied movement and time on the water

  • Guided time outdoors, including walking trails and the labyrinth

  • An outdoor crystal sound bowl session

  • An evening cacao and intuitive movement experience under the open sky

  • Evening fire pit time and space for connection

  • Room for reflection, conversation, play, and rest

Participation is always by choice. Movement is invitational, and rest, stillness, and observation are always welcome. Experiences unfold at a steady pace, with space for both engagement and downtime.

Evening Cacao and Movement Experience

One evening includes a guided experience combining ceremonial cacao and intuitive movement. Participants are invited to explore sensation, expression, and play through gentle prompts and music under the open sky.
